Happy Anniversary!

Today is a very important day. *drum roll please* Today is the one year anniversary of my blog! Wahooo! *cue confetti and screaming fans*

Hard to believe that I created this thing 365 days ago. Rockin' Robyn rocks on! (corny I know) Yeah, so I can't claim that I've been the most consistent with it, but no matter how long I've strayed I've always returned...and that's what really matters most anyways.

When I think back on it, and skim over my past entries, like I love to do, its crazy to me all the things that've went down in my life this year. And through it all, my blog has been along for the ride...all the ups and downs, all the smiles and tears...always raw, real, and uncut...Yep, all of my emotions and inner thoughts are right here in my own words to read forever (or at least I hope so. Please blogger.com don't fail me, I beg you).

This year my blog has seen many things.

First and foremost (the whole reason why I really even started this blog in the first place) its seen me get my heart broken... over and over again unfortunately.

Its seen me brag about my awesome job and then cry when I got fired from it.

Its seen me panic when I had to move out of my apartment and struggle with the fear of the unknown.

Its seen me go from Miss Independent, who has her life all planned out, to Miss Somebody-help-me because I have no clue what my future holds and can't even pretend I do.

But...

This year has also seen some good things too...I must admit. With the rain also comes the rainbow.

Its seen me change as a person...for sure. As Christina Aguilera said "it made me that much stronger, made me work a little bit harder, made me that much wiser. Thanks for making me a fighter. Made me learn a little bit faster, made my skin a little bit thicker, made me that much smarter. So thanks for making me a fighter."

Its seen me realize what and who are truly important in my life and what and who never were.

Its seen me get a new job.

Its seen me move into a new apartment.

Its seen me go on a bunch of awesome vacations.

Its seen me open my mind and heart to things I never would have been open to before.

And its seen me laugh at this crazy thing we call life and most importantly laugh at myself.

...my blog has seen it all. And I can't wait to see what the next 365 days hold!

Where Did The Time Go?

Wow, has it really been over a month since I've posted on here?? That is just crazy. I'm truly disappointed in myself for neglecting my beloved blog like that.

Time has been flying by though, yet standing still all at the same time. Lots of changes have taken place in my life over the last few months, none of which were welcomed changes, might I add...but I'm doing my best to believe that in the end I will be able to look back and say that they were all actually changes for the better.

I moved out of my apartment in DC at the beginning of August and put all my stuff into storage. Not knowing where my next job will be located, I thought it best not to sign a new year lease. Plus, as you can probably guess, not having a job means not having money, and not having money means that having to pay rent each month could pose quite a big problem. Especially considering the ridiculous price of rent here in the DC area. All you ppl living in the 'burbs don't even want to know what the cost of living is around here. Trust me, just be thankful you aren't paying it.

Anyways, so with my whole life crammed in Tupperware containers in the back of my car and the rest in a 10x10 storage unit, I'm currently camping out with one of my girlfriends at her townhouse in western Montgomery County. Although its not optimal living for either party, all I have to say is thank God for friends!

I've gone on quite a few interviews, been promised job offers and everything, but unfortunately haven't quite landed my dream job just yet...but I'm still confident that the one meant for me is out there somewhere, just have to be patient.

My Patience Has Run Out...

Ugh! I can't take it anymore...someone please just offer me a job already so I can get on with my life! I have to be out of my apartment in a week and a half and because I have no idea where I'm going to be working (VA or DC) I can't decide where I'm going to live either. AHHHHH!

I went on an interview on Wednesday the 1st (soooo long ago I can barely remember it) and the President of the company I interviewed with said he was going to send me over an offer but didn't have time that week and was going on vacation the next so it would have to be the week after that :(

WELL...its the week after that now and I want a damn offer. My patience is really wearing thin.

The other job I interviewed with and like has called me in for a second interview tomorrow morning. I know that is a good thing, but this all feels like it has been dragging on for way too long. I can't take this whole not knowing thing for much longer.

I think I might be going certifiably insane :O
