Super Sunday

As I'm sure all of you know, the most watched single-day sporting event, the Superbowl is today. And since my obvious choice, the Cowboys, aren't exactly an option this year, I've spent the better half of the morning trying to decide which team should be lucky enough to get my favor.

The Colts versus The Saints.
Indianapolis versus New Orleans.
14-2 versus 13-3.
Blue and White versus Black and Gold.
Talent versus Heart.
Top Dog versus Cellar Dweller.
Peyton Manning versus Drew Brees.
Kendra Wilkenson versus Kim Kardashian.

Hmmm...quite a toss up.

Sure is hard to pick against the greatness that is Peyton Manning...
But for obvious reasons....

I'm gonna have to go with the Saints for this one! ;)
(I'm sure you all can understand!?!)

Free Snow!

Well...looks like I won't be going anywhere for awhile.

I thought our last storm was bad, but this one has definitely put that one to shame...and it's still snowing! Ouch!

What an Idiot!

Really? This guy didn't realize they were filming right behind him when he felt the need to check out some hot chicks on the internet? Priceless!

Love is in the Air

Valentine's Day is on the way...and to be honest I really couldn't care less. Since I don't have a special man in my life right now I'm not necessarily looking forward to it, but by no means am I dreading it either.

Come on, lets be honest, Valentine's Day is not really all it's cracked up to be anyways. Even when I did have a boyfriend we usually spent the "special" day eating Domino's Pizza on my bedroom floor or laying around in sweats watching a basketball game together... And for me, I was perfectly okay with that. I'm much more low maintenance than I may appear, believe it or not ;)

I don't need someone telling me that I have to go out to dinner and be showered with gifts to prove that I'm loved. I would much rather be taken out or given a gift or find a hand written note somewhere out of the blue, because they actually wanted to, and they knew it would make me smile.

.....

Over the past couple years, Valentine's Day for me has become less about all the Hallmark hoopla and more about telling the important people in my life how much they matter. It isn't often that I truly express to my parents or my brother or sister or my best friends how much they really mean to me and what an impact they have had on my life.

So Valentine's Day is that one day each year when I can be as sentimental as I want and still get away with it.

I've gotten in the habit of sending each of them a little card...nothing special...99 cent sale rack will do just fine...just something that I can write to them and let them know they are loved and always will be.
